Andrew Davies AM for Swansea West today welcomed the Prime Minister's announcement of the electrification of the London to Swansea Great Western line.

Mr Davies, who is also Minister for Finance and Public Service Delivery in the Welsh Assembly Government said:
"This is wonderful news for Swansea. The Prime Minister's announcement is a massive boost for Swansea and the whole of South Wales and will bring huge economic benefits to the city. The rail unions and I have been calling for the electrification of the line for many years for both its economic and environmental benefits. This is a great day for Wales."
