Cadle School Recognised With Excellence Awards.
Andrew Davies AM for Swansea West has announced his delight that Cadle Primary school in his constituency of Swansea West has received two outstanding awards of achievement. The first a gold status for self evaluation within Swansea and the second a prestigious Green Flag in the Eco-schools programme which allows pupils to play a major role in formulating and carrying out the school’s environmental action plan.
Andrew Davies AM said:
“Cadle Primary School and has worked hard to achieve these excellent awards being one of only a handful of schools to receive such an achievement in Wales.
.
Not only is this school working to drive up standards, but it is ensuring that the staff teach in an enjoyable, stimulating workplace where they feel respected and appreciated.”
“However to receive not one but two awards is exceptional and I am delighted to be here today to present the awards in person. Firstly to receive a gold award for the quality of self-evaluation is a remarkable achievement. The rigorous work self evaluation culture embedded within the school must be congratulated. The second award is no less impressive and a special recognition must go to the pupils who have made the Eco-school programme a real success by achieving Green Flag status”.
“It is of special note to see that the school has managed to increase its recycling and reduce its rubbish output sent to a landfill by over a half which is a fantastic achievement.
“I give my congratulations to all the teachers and pupils, as well as the governors and parents, as they have all come together to achieve this result for Cadle Primary School.”
Andrew Davies AM continued:
“The best working environments, whether in schools, local businesses or elsewhere, are where staff feel valued and there is a good partnership with those at the top of the organisation this as the report indicates is clearly the case and I congratulate the school on a job well done”.
