GCSE and Welsh Baccalaureate qualification students celebrate.

Local AM Andrew Davies has praised the hard work of pupils in Swansea and Wales as they celebrate their excellent GCSE and Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification results published today.

Andrew Davies AM for Swansea West said:

‘’Swansea students should be very proud of their performance this year; these are exceptional achievements and our young people have every reason to celebrate.

Students continue to show that Wales is truly a learning country with very high pass rates and steady progress in key curriculum areas.

We must also congratulate the teachers and parents who have worked so hardto support and guide these students.‘’

Andrew Davies AM continued:

‘’Pass rates at GCSE continue to be very high and the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification continues to go from strength to strength, growing in popularity and increasingly respected by higher education and employers.

This of course is only the start; young people collecting their results will use them to progress into further and higher education, training and employment.

Whatever they choose to do from this point forward their achievements will help strengthen Wales's position as a prosperous and successful country - and, of course, help secure their own personal endeavours.‘’
