Local AM Launches Legal Services

Andrew Davies AM today launched the new Legal Service in Swansea. It was originally set up by Geoffrey Lloyd and Mark Taylor in September 2007They also employ a caseworker.

Andrew Davies AM said:
"I am delighted that I can be here today to launch the new Legal Services on Mansel Street. It is particularly important for an organisation such as this to specialise in social welfare law, including state benefits, housing issues and debt.

I am delighted to understand that where a client does not qualify for legal aid they will advise and represent there clients on a pro-bono basis.

They are a small team but are representing a sector of the community that really requires help and assistance as well as those members of society that are of course eligible for legal assistance.

“It is fantastic that a small organisation like Swansea Legal Service flourishes and expands to represent a section of the community that needs our support and I wish the organisation every success in the future”.
